Assembly
As the pictures show, this shelf is wide. Hence, you will require the help of another person to put it together. One person should help with holding one end of the larger pieces while the other is screwing them in place. It is important to note that you must first loosely tighten all bolts and put all pieces in place before you fully tighten them. If you don’t, you will find it difficult to align the pieces correctly.
The manufacturer has included wall brackets to secure the bookshelf to the wall. Although it is entirely up to you if you will install them, you should strongly consider it. This is a tall 6-tier shelf and has the risk of tipping over. Attaching the shelf to the wall would eliminate this risk and keep everyone at home, especially kids, safe.
Space
The shelves are wide and tall. Each of them has ample of room for storage. You shouldn’t find yourself looking for more space. The shelves can accommodate both small and large items. I recommend putting larger and heavier items on the lower shelves. Upper shelves are better suited for lighter items. With a weight limit of 100 lbs. per shelf, this sturdy bookcase is the answer to your storage and display needs. As long as you don’t go past the weight limit, you shouldn’t worry about the shelf sagging or snapping under too much weight.
