First Impression
The pieces are labelled and come with numbered stickers. The labels help a lot as they go hand in hamd with the directions. The instructions tell you exactly where each piece goes. There is no room for confusion.
One of my initial observations with the TV standis that some metal pieces stand out from the wood. It would have been great if Vasagle included caps to hide them from sight. It just doesn’t appear natural when there are metal pieces sticking out from wooden furniture. It is possible to cover them up by using a touch-up pen.
Spacious Storage
In terms of storage, Vasagle’s TV stand takes the cake. The availability of both open and enclosed storage allows it to work as a complete entertainment center.
The top is very wide and spacious. If you’re using a smaller TV, you can use the top for storage and display purposes. You can put small potted plants, picture frames, and other decorative pieces to spruce up your stand.
This TV stand comes with 2 shelves. They are not adjustable. The divider can only be installed in the middle, so both shelves are exactly the same height. They have pre-drilled holes at the back. You can conveniently run the wires of your consoles and players through the back. You can add more holes by drilling through the back panel. It isn’t too thick, so you won’t have any difficulty doing that.
The cabinet is the perfect place to keep unsightly cables and anything you don’t want to be seen. It is spacious but narrower than the shelves.The cabinet doesn’t come with a knob or handle, which makes the entire TV stand look sleek and modern. To open the cabinet, you’ll have to push it open. The door opens right off when pushed gently. The magnet that allows the door to be closed can get weaker in time, but it is easily replaceable.
At best, the stand can be used for flat screen TVs up to 43 inches in width. If you have a larger TV, the stand can still accommodate it but the screen will extend past the stand on each side. This won’t pose a problem because as far as stability is concerned, this stand can support the weight of a widescreen TV.
Stylish and Sturdy
The angled legs look chic and goes well with the mid-century style of the TV stand. They are thick solid wood and slanted to provide better support than regular legs. Underneath each leg is a protection pad to keep hardwood and other sensitive floors from getting scratched.
The TV stand is not built with solid wood but it is heavy. The weight is not something you’d expect from a furniture that is not made with solid wood. If you look for similar stands in stores, you would not be able to find one with a price that comes close to this.
