Assembly
This adjustable desk is recommended for those who work in front of the computer all day. It doesn’t matter if you have a back problem or not. It is reason enough to use an adjustable desk with the health benefit that it offers.
The assembly is straightforward. The pieces came with labels and the screws were sorted per size. The instructions are easy to follow. You have to calibrate the machine if you’re using it for the very first time. It would only take less than a minute. Full details are in the assembly manual. One person can put the desk together and entails minimal effort. There are glides at the bottom of each leg. Adjusting them can help level the desk and keep it stable on uneven floor.
Adjustability
The range of height that this computer table allows is impressive. The max height is a little higher than the eye level of 6-foot-tall person. The height ranges from 28 to 46 inches. Getting an anti-fatigue mat to stand on with the standing desk is a great idea. This would reduce the pressure on your feet as you stand and allow you to stand for a longer time.
A manual desk or a desk adjustable by a hand crank is more affordable. However, considering the ease of adjustability that a motorized desk allows, this is surely worth the extra cost.
The controller that adjusts the height is user-friendly. There is an up and down button that raises and lowers the desk, respectively. You can also save your preferred height setting so you don’t have to manually adjust the desk in the future. The controller has a memory function, which allows you to save up to 4 height settings. Once saved, the desired height can be achieved in a push of a button. The desk moves fast and smoothly. The table doesn’t bounce or shake as you adjust its height.
The only negative point about the motor is that it is noisy. You will hear a motor sound as the desk raises or lowers. It isn’t that loud, though. Also, the height adjusts quickly so you don’t have to hear the motor sound for that long.
Quality
The desktop is made with 2 pieces of wood panels. It is secured together with dowels and screws. These is a seam that runs across the middle but it is barely visible. The top is very sturdy so the fact that isn’t one solid piece shouldn’t be an issue.
The adjustable desk fits 2 large monitors and more work supplies on the side. In terms of cable management, the table gets a lower score. There is a grommet on the table to organize cables. It is, however, on the far left corner of the corner. It would have been much better if there was another grommet on the other end too. Getting zip ties and cord clips would help keep your desk organized.
The steel legs are stable. They are sturdy enough to withstand frequent height adjustment.
