Setup
The assembly is straightforward. The directions tell you exactly what you need to do. It wasn’t really surprising that I had a harder time putting the first chair together. When I got to the second chair, I felt like it was easier because I have completed a chair already. By the time I was setting up the third and fourth chair, it was like a walk in the park.
I got the chairs in green. It is an unusual color for dining chairs but that’s what I was going for. I wanted something striking so that when guests enter the dining hall, they would notice it. It has served the purpose and the chairs are an instant conversation starter. I understand that not everyone would like something too bold. There’s brown and grey if you prefer a neutral shade.
Comfort
As advertised, the chair has ergonomic features. The backrest conforms to the natural shape of the back. You can lean back at a comfortable angle. My mom has a bad back and she finds the chairs comfortable. I think that says a lot about the chairs’ comfort. The seat has a slight dip that makes sitting more comfortable. The chairs are perfect for long dinners with friends when there is a lot of catching up to do. I do wish that they would sell these chairs by two’s. They would work well with a coffee table. I recently got one and had to look for a set of 2 chairs somewhere else. If I were given a choice, though, I would definitely get these chairs again.
These chairs have a bit of cushion on them but they’re not plush at all. The cushion is just enough to keep you from feeling anything hard on the chairs. If you want something plush and soft, this isn’t for you.
Quality
The legs are steel with a wood-like covering. The legs look posh and make the entire chair appear very expensive. I love that the foot of each leg has a non-slip pad. The pad protects the floor from scratches and unwanted damage. It also keeps the chairs in place, useful if you would have kids sit on them. The legs are stable and doesn’t shake at all. The crossbars underneath the seat adds stability to the chairs.
Style
These chairs are so sophisticated that they would work in any setting. It can be used as dining chairs at home or seats for clients at the office. Either way, they will impress with both the looks and comfort. These are modern-looking chairs fit for a modern home.
The chairs would go well with a variety of tables. I ordered our dining table first before I looked for a set of chairs to go with it. This turned out to be the perfect match and looks as if I bought them together.
The fabric stains quite easily but it comes right off with soap and water. Needless to say, the fabric isn’t waterproof. It’s alright if you get it wet but it would take a while to let it dry.
