Setup
The outdoor sectional set comes in two boxes. The way they packed everything is very neat. All pieces came in good condition. The assembly is pretty straightforward. The directions tell you exactly how to set it up. This is a 5-piece set so I expected that assembly wouldn’t be that quick. Anyway, the setup went smoothly. I’m not as good as other people are with tools, and I managed to put the sofa set together without cursing. I had a glass of wine with me during the assembly, which I believe calmed my nerves.
Things I Like
The included seat clips is a nice touch. There are a total of 6 clips. Make sure to use them to hold the pieces together. Without them, the pieces would just move apart from each other. You have the freedom to arrange the pieces according to your preference. I didn’t use the seat clip to attach the ottoman with the rest of the pieces. We use it as a footrest instead of clipping it onto one of the corner chairs.
The outdoor set comes with back and seat cushions, which does a lot in terms of comfort. I have to add that the cushions are a little thin. That is nothing to worry about as the foam inside is very easy to replace. A thicker foam would instantly do the trick. Adding pillows would make the set more comfortable to sit on too.
I was initially worried about the cushions sliding from the frame. It was such a relief when I found out that there are Velcro strips that keep the cushions from moving around. They stay put, which allows me to take a nap without any disturbance.
The dark glass top adds elegance to the outdoor sectional. It is embedded on the table rather than being set right on top of the table. This makes the glass less likely to fall from the table. This is great if you have kids around.
The brown wicker looks beautiful. The weave shows the excellent craftsmanship that went into the making of the set. The wicker is tightly woven. PE rattan is weather-resistant and waterproof, so I expected the wicker to hold up well under the sun and rain. So far, it is holding up well. I don’t see any sign of wear or cracks on the wicker.
The cushion covers zip off for easy washing. I have washed them multiple times and haven’t had any issues. You have to know that the cushions are not waterproof. I keep them inside when it rains.
Last Thoughts
This Patiorama outdoor sectional set is an investment worth making. Getting a sectional instead of a small outdoor set is much more expensive but I don’t regret making that choice. It has more seating space and can accommodate more guests. This outdoor set has turned our patio into a space where the whole family can gather around. If you’re looking to create an area in your home where you can sit and relax, this is a fantastic idea!
