First Impression
The assembly is really simple. I found the directions helpful. Best of all, the parts came in pristine conditon. The cushions were stain-free and the wooden frames arrived with no scratches. I love that there were extra pieces, so you don’t have to worry if you lost one or two during the setup. By the time I was putting the second chair together, the assembly had become much easier.
The set looks exactly like it did in the pictures. It is indeed stylish and matches my personal style. I like my furniture simple rather than elaborate. The club chairs and loveseat look comfortable. The chairs are deep and allow you to lean back. If you feel like the back is too far back, you can add throw pillows.
Comfort
Everyone in the house loves spending the afternoons on our patio. That’s because the chairs are comfortable to sit on and are made for lounging.
The cushions are thick. They’re thicker than those I usually see on patio sets. For the price, I was kind of expecting to replace them with thicker ones. To my relief, there was no longer a need to do so. The cushions are on the firmer side. That may sound bad but it’s a good thing. The cushions keep their shape well and haven’t sagged at all. If they were softer, they would have sunken down by now. The seat and back cushions have straps to attach them to the frames. The straps keep them from moving around.
Getting accent pillows is a good idea. They would give your set a pop of color. The pillows are great too if you find the cushions quite firm.
The size of the chairs is great. It can fit most adults. The armrests are pretty long, which allows you to fully rest your arms.
The table does sit a bit low to the ground, but I don’t mind that. It does the job of holding food and drinks. The table comes in handy especially when we have guests over.
Quality
While you can leave the cushions out in a light rain, it is advisable to keep them inside when the rain gets stronger. A bit of water would bead up on the cushions but not when there’s too much. I learned that the hard way when I left the cushions out thinking they were completely waterproof. Water soaked in and it took a long time to dry them out.
The entire chat set is durable. The chairs feel stable. My husband weighs nearly 200 lbs. and the chairs hold up without issues.
Final Thoughts
I have the set under the roof. Although it is an outdoor set, there is no way I would expose them to direct sunlight. That would significantly shorten its lifespan and make it look less attractive. Exposing it to all sorts of elements would lead to fading and cracks.
If you are looking to create a lounging area in your home, getting this is a fantastic way to start!
