First Impression

This arrived in two heavy boxes, so make sure to ask the delivery guys to carry it into your place. It came with a couple of spare screws. No need to panic if you happen to lose some. The instructions are clear and straightforward. It does take some patience to put the desk together because it takes a while. It took me and my husband more or less 3 hours to complete. I don’t mind that though because this computer desk is worth the time and effort. It looks more beautiful up close than in the pictures. It is also larger than I have anticipated. All in all, I’m satisfied with my purchase.

Space and Storage

First off, let’s talk about the desk’s surface. It is wide, making it the widest desk I’ve ever owned. I just use a MacBook Air and as you can imagine, it leaves me with a large space to do my work. I imagine setting 2 monitors on the desk would be fine.

I find the keyboard shelf a great addition even though I don’t use it. A lot of L-shape desks on Amazon had none, so this is a plus. If you’re using a desktop computer, this will surely come in handy.

The drawers slide in and out smoothly. My only complaint is that they don’t slide all the way out. Each drawer has ample of room though. The bottommost is the largest one and yes, you can fit a lot of things inside. I can easily open and close the door of the cabinet too. The cabinet is the perfect size to store your CPU. However, I use a laptop so I use the cabinet to keep important items for work instead. Inside it are two shelves, which makes organizing easier. Storage space isn’t an issue with this desk at all.

I appreciate the fact that you can put the drawers and cabinet on either side of the desk. The ability to customize the desk according to your personal preference is just great! It is worth mentioning that the desk does not have any bar in the middle. Other desks have one, and it can get in the way as you move from one side of the table to the other. I can also freely stretch my legs when I feel like it.

Style

The wood grain throughout the desk gives the work desk a charming and rustic feel. All sides of the desk are nicely finished, even those in the back. You can put this in the middle of the room and it would look finished from every angle.

Final Thoughts

The wood, which I suspect to be engineered wood, makes for a solid desk. It seems like it can carry a lot of weight. I’m confident this desk will last with me. The quality is definitely worth spending nearly $300 for. If you have the money to spend, why not get a desk that is durable as much as it is attractive?
