My first impression
Assembly is simple and straightforward. It took me only around 15 minutes to piece the parts together. The instructions are easy to follow and all the holes aligned. The screws tightened up easily, thanks to an Allen wrench that is included in the package.
I’m glad I chose the Havanah Brown pattern. The lamp looks vintage and straight out of an 80s film. The wood has an elegant finish and even has a natural wood grain texture to it. For the price, it’s safe to underestimate the wood’s quality. However, the actual product exceeded my expectations. The wood feels durable, plus the table does not wobble at all.
Well-designed lamp
I like that the lamp can be swiveled all the way around. We have this table between 2 recliners in our living room. If I’m reading by myself, I keep the lamp’s head close to me. And if my husband comes to join me, we just push the lamp to the middle so we can share the light. It’s great because you can move the light closer to you wherever you are seated.
The LED bulb that came with the lamp is bright. It is an excellent light to read by and far better than that in our old floor lamp. The lamp is screwed directly onto the surface of the table, so we don’t have to worry about knocking the lamp off the table.
Handy for charging
The deciding factor for me to buy this is the built-in 2 USB ports and electric outlet. I had always been having an issue with a power strip that we use to charge our phones with. The wire can sometimes make us trip, and it’s unsightly to have a black wire on the middle of our hardwood floor. Getting this table meant we can get rid of the power strip already. That’s a huge relief for me.
The only thing I would like to change is the position of the ports and outlet. They are at the front of the table, so they’re very conspicuous. It would be much better if they were placed at the back or side of the table. Nevertheless, that really doesn’t matter as long as we can charge our devices close to us.
Roomy storageThe tabletop is spacious enough, so it wouldn’t feel cluttered even with our phones charging. The lamp does not have a base, so that leaves us with more room for our things. The storage shelves are handy for keeping our books in.
What I think This lampshade and table in one is a fantastic buy. It has everything I need in one product. If I bought all the components separately, I would have spent so much more.
I’ve actually ordered another one for my teenage daughter. I’m keeping it as a surprise for her upcoming birthday. I think she’ll be delighted to finally be able to charge her iPhone and iPad by her bedside.
