After the wonderful experience with Tuft & Needle’s Adaptive Foam Mattress, we decided to try out more foam mattresses. This is how we came across this Green Tea mattress from Zinus. Based on past experience, Zinus made some quality bed frames, such as the Upholstered Square Stitched Platform Bed and the Smart Base Mattress Frame. However, we never had any first hand experience with any Zinus foam mattresses.

In terms of shipping, it ships from California via FedEx Ground. So if you live on the East coast, you might want to be a little more patient.

In terms of the quality, the mattress is more on the firm side, which is quite similar to the adaptive foam mattress from T&N. We now have the foam for more than 4 weeks, we would say that this Green Tea foam mattress is slightly softer thenT&N’s adaptive foam. It doesn’t mean its not as comfortable. We just much prefer firmer mattresses since it’s better for our back pain problem. It all comes down to personal preference. Some reviewers on the web comment that the foam has some weird smell. We can confirm with you that we did not encounter such a problem.

Overall, for the money, this bed is awesome. It costs roughly only one fourth of the T&N adaptive foam mattress and you get a similar experience.
