The vanity mirror comes inside a very secure packaging. The way it was packed ensured that the mirror arrived with zero scratch, crack or damage. The box was also labelled properly to let the delivery guys know that it has to be handled with care.
The most stressful thing about buying a mirror online is getting it shipped in one piece. Shipping can cause damage to any product, more so one that is as fragile as a mirror. Thanks to the protective packaging, the mirror and light bulbs arrived without any breakage.
The size is exactly as advertised. It is perfect for a mid-size table. It won’t make your desk look cramped. The illuminated mirror comes with a base that keeps the mirror standing. If you want more space on the tabletop, you can opt to hang the mirror on the wall. The mirror has 2 holes on the back. Just drill 2 holes on the wall, place a pair of nails and hang the mirror. Make sure that the nails are securely in place. Otherwise, the mirror is at risk of falling from the wall. Nothing could save it from shattering then.
Hanging the mirror would free up space from your vanity. It would also put the mirror at your desired height. If you want to elevate the mirror or at a certain level, you simply drill the wall according to your preference. That would also work if you like standing up to do your makeup instead of sitting down. Nevertheless, putting the mirror on the base works just as well. The base is sturdy and provides support to the mirror. It keeps the mirror at eye level. You can tell that the mirror is stable as it doesn’t wobble. As long as it is on an even surface, it should be solid and not move by itself.
Features
There are 15 LED light bulbs on the mirror. If you want a well-illuminated mirror, this would be it. The light bulbs look like regular ones but of course they are far from ordinary. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be reviewing this lighted mirror.
The mirror has a simple touch control. It has 3 buttons at the bottom part of the mirror’s surface. The buttons do not stick out like a sore thumb. In fact, they look great on the mirror. You will hardly notice the buttons when you’re doing your makeup.
The button in the middle is for turning the lights on and off. One touch would turn the lights on and another touch would turn them off. The leftmost button changes the color of the lights. The light bulbs can turn into 3 different color settings: cold white, warm white and warm yellow. The cold white is the brightest light setting. If you like a softer and more natural color when you are applying makeup, the warm white and warm yellow would work great. The cold white works great for taking photos. If you don’t have a ring light, the light bulbs on the mirror would make a fantastic alternative.
The button at the right sets the brightness of the mirror. The only negative that I see with this makeup mirror is that it doesn’t have a dimming function. It is the only thing I am left wanting for. Aside from that, the mirror has exceeded my expectations.
Another useful feature of the mirror is that it has a memory setting. You can turn on the lights with the same brightness and color setting as you last left it before turning it off. There is no need for you to change the color and brightness every time you turn the lights on.
The touch control works very well. The buttons are user-friendly. You won’t get confused with how to control the lights even without a manual. With just 3 buttons, you can easily figure out what each button does. The buttons work as you push them.
One of the highlights of the beauty mirror is the USB charging port. It can be found on the side of the mirror. You can use it to charge your phone and other device while you are preparing to go out. The charging port is great if you spend plenty of time applying your makeup. The port doesn’t charge your phone as fast as a standard charger would, but it does the job.
