This set of 2 upholstered chairs is well worth the money. You get two chairs for the price of one, so it’s quite a bargain. If you happen to need only one chair, you may still want to consider this set. There’s no such thing as too many chairs, right? What’s great with chairs like these is thay they look amazing in any part of your home. Cushioned chairs make comfortable dining chairs and cozy accent chairs. Upholstered chairs also work nicely as vanity chairs.
Assembly
Assembly is pretty simple. The only thing that you have to remember is to tighten the screws at the very end. It is easy to end up with uneven legs. To prevent this, you should sit the chair upright and then check if the legs are even. If they’re not, just fix the legs until they are finally even. If you do not get this right, your chair will surely wobble. Once you get the legs even, you can tighten all the screws and sit away.
The upholstery is attached to the wooden frame. They cannot be removed for washing. Fortunately, the textile is a material that is easy to clean. You can either vacuum it to get rid of dust or spot-clean it if it has stains. One disadvantage to having an upholstered chair rather than a plastic or wooden one is that spills do not wipe dry. Luckily, there are fabric protectors like Scotchgard that makes fabric repel water and stains. If you have children, I strongly suggest giving the chairs extra protection.
Comfort
The upholstered chairs are firm with a bit of give to them. They started off from being very firm when they were brand new. This is normal for a lot of chairs. As the chairs got more use over the weeks, the chairs got softer. They haven’t completely lost the firmness yet and that is a good thing. Soft chairs tend to lose the shape of the cushions over time. Soft cushions easily lose their plushness and make chairs look worn out. With a firmer cushion, you get to keep the chair looking new for a longer time.
The back has attractive tufting details. The tufts feel good against the back. They are more than just a design element. You won’t feel the buttons against your back.
The chair’s back is tilted backwards. This gives the chair a lean to it, making it more comfortable to sit on. The back is very high up. It extends up to my shoulders. The high back makes it a fantastic dining chair. You can spend hours chatting with your friends over plates of food and not feel like your back is getting sore. If you also spend a lot of time doing your makeup, this upholstered chair would be your friend.
The tufted chair is 18 inches wide. It occupies a small floor space. If you have a tiny dining room, you can consider getting this chair. While the 2 chairs are not as wide as other chairs, they provide exceptional comfort with the thick cushions and extended back.
Design
Aside from the button tufts, the chair features a curved top. This element makes the chair appear very expensive. I do think that the top could have been sewn better. Nevertheless, it gives the chair a unique look.
The legs are light brown with a smooth texture. They do not come with floor protectors. If you won’t have the chairs on a carpet, getting furniture pads would be a smart idea. This way, you can push the chair under the table without worrying about damaging the floor.
In My Opinion
For this set’s price point, it is a very reasonable buy. It is not easy to find two well-made and well-designed chairs at this price range from physical stores.
