The pieces were secured properly and well-protected during shipping. This ensures that pieces arrive without any scratches and dents. Assembly would take 2 persons to complete. Make sure to ask someone to help you if you don’t want to have a hard time. The box doesn’t contain the tools required for assembly. It comes with extra screws and dowels in case you lose any.
The shelf comes with everything you need to attach it to the wall, which is a nice touch. The shelf is stable as it is. It won’t tip forward by itself but if you intentionally pull it to your direction then the shelf won’t stand a chance. If you have kids around, it is highly advisable to bolt it onto the wall.

This bookshelf is deep enough to hold large books without taking up too much space. There is typically a lot of wasted space with deeper shelves, and that is unlikely to happen here.
There is one fixed shelf and three others that can be adjusted according to your need. You can raise or lower them to make way for taller items and maximize the available space. Nevertheless, you can leave the shelves evenly spaced out.
The shelf is only open at the front, so your things are less likely to fall than from a shelf with open sides. You no longer have to get bookends too.
Quality Materials
The shelves are made with thick laminated particleboard. They are strong enough to hold heavy books. The back panel is made of a thinner board. This won’t be an issue as long as you have the shelf against the wall. Based from the materials used to build this, it would hold up well for years. However, it’s definitely not something you’d keep for decades.
The adjustable shelves are held in place with plastic clips. For obvious reasons, place the heaviest and fragile things on the fixed shelf. Put the lighter items on the adjustable shelves. If there is one thing that could be improved, that is to replace the plastic clips with metal ones. This is to provide more support for the shelves.
This 5-shelf bookcase is not wobbly. There is no stability issue as long as you have it on even floor. For the price point, this shelf is a good buy. If you are working within a very limited budget, you may be able to fit this one. It comes in 9 pretty colors too. This gives you a wide range of choices to easily match it with your space.
