First Things First
This Best Price mattress arrived earlier than expected. It was a pleasant surprise. The mattress expanded as soon as I got it out of the plastic packaging. It took about 3 hours to expand to its full size but I waited 2 days as the directions suggest. It rose to a full 6 inches. Similar to the reviews I’ve read, there is a subtle odor to the bed. It smelled like plastic. The smell didn’t take long to fully disappear. I just kept the windows open to air it out.
I had to replace my old spring mattress and after doing my research, I decided to switch to memory foam. It has more to offer as far as comfort is concerned. I understand that it would be more expensive but I was willing to spend if it’s well worth my money.
The first time I laid down on the mattress, I knew I hit the jackpot. I couldn’t believe I got a mattress so comfortable for less than $500. I would have gotten a memory foam mattress worth more than that if I hadn’t come across this one.
Things I Like
The bed is firm yet comfortable. It provides support to your body but still has enough give to allow you a good night sleep. I am a first-time memory foam user. I must say that I like the feeling of the mattress conforming to the shape of my back. It’s true what they say about memory foam. It feels like sleeping on clouds. My back feels much better now than it did back when I was still using a spring mattress. If you don’t like the sinking feeling on a bed then this mattress is a great choice.
There are times when my nephew would stay the night. He would sleep beside me. I’m not kidding when I say he’s a very active sleeper. I noticed that since I switched beds, I don’t feel his movement that much anymore. The bed doesn’t bounce as much when he moves, which allows me to sleep longer.
In terms of breathability, I think the mattress does well. It doesn’t get too warm. I tend to sweat a lot when I sleep so I like that.
I don’t see any dent on the spot where I usually sleep. I’ve had the mattress for nearly a year. I’m happy that although the foam does conform to my body, it goes right back to its original shape.
I got a 6-inch mattress which isn’t very tall. I use a bed frame with slats and I worried that I would feel the slats under the bed. That is not the case at all.
In My Opinion
If you’re still using spring, you should make the switch. Memory foam would make such a difference. I don’t think I could ever go back. This mattress can help relieve pressure from your body and prevent body pain when you wake up in the morning. You can’t go wrong with this mattress. It’s inexpensive and made of quality materials. If I had to replace my bed, I would happily get this again.
