First Things First
When I got the mattress out of the box, it was vacuum-sealed and laid flat in a plastic. It arrived without any damage. When I tore the plastic, things happened quickly. It immediately started to expand. The seller recommends leaving it for 72 hours to fully rise. New mattresses normally have a chemical smell to them, so you won’t be able to use them right away. I also didn’t want to risk not having it rise to its full size so I waited patiently. I was in no hurry anyway. We still kept our old bed just in case the new mattress didn’t turn out to be comfortable. My husband is extremely picky with beds and I was worried that he wouldn’t like the new mattress. Well, I was just paranoid. He loves it! We’ve had a few hybrid beds in the 40 years that we’re married. He told me this is one of the best.
Comfort
This is an excellent hybrid mattress. This is for people who can’t choose between a spring mattress and memory foam. You get the best of both worlds with a hybrid. The mattress is bouncy thanks to the coils. With the memory foam, the bed doesn’t lose the support that I want. I am a side sleeper, so I need my bed to be supportive. As I sleep on my side, I often have pain on my shoulders and arms. Since we switched to this bed, I rarely complain about body pain. The same goes for my husband. His lower back has improved significantly. He sleeps more soundly too.
I feel that this mattress distributes my body’s weight evenly. Our bodies don’t sink to the bottom. It has just the right level of firmness.
Another feature that I like about the bed is how it prevents motion transfer. I tend to toss and turn during the night but my husband doesn’t feel that much movement on his side of the bed.
The cover feels smooth on the skin. It is soft and feels like an expensive material. It adds a luxurious factor to the bed. The cover is hypoallergenic too. It’s something you should consider when you have a lot of allergies.
Taking naps on hot afternoons are much bearable. It does feel cooler than regular mattresses.
Quality
I don’t see an indentation on the part of the bed where my husband sleeps. He is on the heavy side so low-quality beds tend to sag under his weight. I have a feeling this bed would last longer than our other beds.
I recommend rotating the bed every 6 months. That would help prevent sagging and keep it from wearing down faster.
This hybrid mattress is a great investment. It is worth every penny. I don’t mind spending a great deal if it’s for a restful sleep every night. I look forward to sleeping on this for years and years to come. I highly recommend this to people searching for a hybrid mattress.
