First Things First
I don’t typically get my furniture online. I don’t like the fact that I don’t get to see the actual product beforehand. It was my sister who nagged me to order this coffee table already. I have been eyeing it for some time when I finally decided to give in and take the plunge. It was all worth it! It came as a surprise that everything arrived in good condition. There is none of the scratches or dents I was expecting to see. The parts are heavier than I thought. That gave me a good impression of the table’s quality.
An allen wrench is included in the box. It’s the only thing you need to put this together. Setup was straightforward. The directions clearly tell you what to do. As long as you follow them, you won’t have any trouble.
Design
In terms of design, this coffee table lives up to my expectations. The top looks like real wood. For the price of the table, I knew there was no way I would be getting a real wood top. I have to admit, though, that they did a good job making it look like one. I love the dark brown color. It sets nicely against our light-brown hardwood floor.
The metal frame gives the table an industrial feel to it. The frame has a beautiful matte finish. The wood top balances it off and together, they make a classy-looking table.
Durability
If I could offer an advice to buyers, that is to keep the allen wrench that came with the table. The screws may loosen up and so you may need to tighten them from time to time.
The steel frame provides stability to the table. That’s not to say that you can step on the surface as you like. Under normal use, I feel that this table would last long. It is not something you would pass on to your grandchildren, though.
The coffee table has adjustable feet to keep it from wobbling on uneven floors. The best part is that it has floor protectors on each foot. You don’t need to have a carpet or rug underneath the table except for, maybe, aesthetic purposes.
Space
I like the size of this coffee table. It turned out to be just the right size for our couch. It’s neither too wide nor narrow.
The shelf at the bottom is where I keep my magazines and a few books. I love having them right in front of the couch. The shelf is roomy and would come in handy if you are looking for extra storage in the living room. I love that the shelf is made of metal so I won’t worry about putting too much weight on it.
In My Opinion
For the quality of this coffee table, I sure got value for my money. I did shop around a bit both in stores and Amazon. This is one of the more inexpensive tables I’ve seen. I can’t believe I was hesitant to buy this at first. If you were to ask me, I’d say don’t think twice anymore. This is one great coffee table that would make a lovely addition to your home.
