First Things First
I received this contemporary accent chair on the expected delivery date. The box as well as everything inside came in good condition. The setup went smoothly. The chair is very easy to put together. I’m pretty sure I could have done it even without the instructions. I assembled it on my own, but an extra hand is always helpful. The most crucial part of the assembly is screwing the legs onto the seat. Do it wrong and you’ll end up with a wobbly chair. Just make sure they are screwed tightly into place.
This is, without a doubt, a beautiful chair. It looks even more elegant up close than it does online. I originally set my expectations low given the chair’s price. After unboxing the parts, I was surprised to see that it doesn’t look cheap. The finished product ended up looking much more expensive than it really is. I am beyond pleased with my purchase.
Comfort
The chair is on the stiff side. I think it’s fine for daily use but not for sitting for hours at a time. I wouldn’t use this as an office chair. It may work as a reading chair. Adding a throw pillow for the back could make it more comfortable.
We have the chair in our living room, which serves as an accent chair and extra seat for guests. If you’re looking for a stylish chair for occasional seating, this is perfect for you.
You may want to ask if you would feel the wooden base underneath. No is the answer. Yes, the cushion is firm, but there aren’t any spot that feels hard as rock.
What I like is the size of the seat. It is wide enough to fit most adults. I have a slim body. When I sit on the chair, I leave a lot of space on both sides. If I were plump, I’m sure I could still fit. I’ve had guests on the plumper side and they sat just fine.
The armrests sit a bit low. The chair would be better if they’re higher, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The armrests also have padding on them which I appreciate.
Quality
The chair has solid wooden legs. They feel very sturdy. As long as you have the chair on a flat surface, you shouldn’t notice any wobbling. It’s best if you have it on carpeted floor. I have mine on the carpet.
Style
The accent chair’s design is the best thing about it. I can’t say anything bad about how it looks. The tan color looks great with the legs. The legs are light brown and gives off a modern vibe. I also find the pleating on the back cushion stylish. The tiny details truly matter and in this chair’s case, it creates a striking effect. I’ve gotten many compliments for this accent chair.
Price
The price is one of the best there is for lower-end accent chairs. I wasn’t particularly looking for a designer chair so this was a great fit for me.
