First Things First
As advertised, the bed frame came in a long box. It is way easier to carry that kind of box than it is to fit a bulky box into small doorways. It’s amazing how Zinus got to fit everything inside.
Zinus has supplied a ratchet along with the bed frame. If it’s too small for you, you may use your own tool. The screws came with extras, which is a big bonus. Putting this together is one of the easiest assemblies I’ve ever encountered. The parts are labelled with numbers and you just have to link those with the same numbers. The directions are clearly written too. If that’s not enough for you, the directions come with illustrations as well. I don’t see how someone could have a hard time. Whoever made the assembly guide deserves a raise! I set this up on my own in 30 minutes.
I can also see that the bed frame can be easily taken apart in case you need to move. That makes it very convenient.
Dimensions
The bed frame is 10 inches high. It is just the right height if you don’t like your bed too high off the ground. If you find it too low, though, adding a box spring would give it the extra height. You can use the bed frame as it is and save money by no longer getting a box spring. I don’t like box springs so this is perfect for me.
Features
The bed frame uses wooden slats to support the mattress. They are spaced evenly so your mattress stays flat. The slats stay in place with Velcro while the mattress sticks to the slats with adhesive strips. Your bed won’t slide off the frame. I don’t think the strips have the kind of hold that would last a year. You would have to get your own adhesive in case your bed starts moving around.
The bed frame is made of steel. It is sturdy and looks like it would stand the test of time. It has a small clearance underneath that can fit short boxes. I suggest you get organizers like plastic bins to maximize the space. If you want a bed with a lot of clearance, you should check out other frames from Zinus. You might find something that would suit your need better.
The bed frame is noise-free. It doesn’t make annoying noises or creaks in the middle of the night. If it does, you have to check the screws and make sure none of them has loosen.
Style
The bed frame’s style is very simple. It’s a great choice if you’re not looking for something fancy. I personally think that all I need is a durable bed frame, so style is not a major factor for me. If you’re like me, I would recommend this for you.
