First Things First
The recliner arrived several days before the expected date. If you’re an old man or lady, you won’t struggle with the setup. The chair is easy to unbox. Although assembly is required, it is very minimal. It comes nearly pre-assembled. The recliner comes in two parts. You also have to screw in the four feet. It only took me less than 5 minutes to set it up. I am in my early 60s and have a bad back and knee, and I did fine all by myself. The finished product looks beautiful. The only thing that kept me from sitting on it was the odor that it came with. I had to give it a couple of hours before the odor completely went away.
Adjustability
This is a manual recliner. That being said, it doesn’t have a handle to pull up or down or buttons that would automatically extend the footrest or recline the back. You will have to push back to recline the back and bring the footrest all the way up. As I said earlier, I have a bad back. However, that doesn’t make it any difficult for me to recline the back or sit back up. I am not hard to please, so this manual recliner suits me well. If you have the money to spend then, by all means, get an automatic recliner.
The mechanisms that allow you to adjust the chair work smoothly. They don’t produce any annoying noise, which is great.
Comfort
The chair is on the firmer side, which is great for back support. It can get uncomfortable if you sit for an extended period of time. Anyway, it isn’t advisable for anyone to sit for too long.
This Homall single recliner is smaller compared to regular ones. Prior to getting this, I already thought about searching for a recliner that can fit in my small living room. If you have limited space in your house and you want your own recliner then this would be perfect for you. Even though the recliner isn’t as big as regular ones, the seat still gives me enough room. I am happy about how wide the armrests are too. For the price, the comfort level provided by the recliner is impressive. I’ve fallen asleep in it several times.
The only thing I wish it had is a cup holder. I like to have a glass of water near me so the cup holder would have come in handy. Aside from that, I’m very satisfied with this product.
Durability
This manual recliner is undemanding. It requires no maintenance angd cleans easily with a damp cloth. It has a steel frame and thick cushions, which I’m almost certain would go a long way. The best part is the rubber feet, which doesn’t scratch my floor even if I push it around the room.
Spills won’t damage the PU leather as it doesn’t absorb liquids. They would just sit right on top and you can simply wipe the chair dry.
Buy It!
If you don’t want to spend over $300 for a recliner, I urge you to buy this. It hasn’t disappointed me since day one. It makes me forget about my bad back even just for a few hours a day.
