First Impression
If you don’t like putting things together, this ottoman is made for you. You literally just have to screw the legs onto the bottom. That would just take you ten minutes, tops.
This ottoman looks amazing in the pictures. Seeing it with my own eyes is altogether a different story. It looks far more elegant and classier in reality. Only when you see it up close can you appreciate the tiny details on the ottoman. The stitching and tufting were clearly done by a professional. The tufted top gives off an air of luxury. The faux leather can pass off as genuine leather unless you look at it up close. The brown is a deep brown that looks like black at first glance. The silver studs, although small, make a big difference to the overall look. The ottoman by itself is a great statement piece. We have this in our living room and guests would give compliments all the time.
Versatile Ottoman
This ottoman serves many purposes in my humble abode. We use it as a footrest, bench, and storage for blankets and winter clothes. You can also use it to store your shoes or just about anything. I know how tempting it can be to fill it in with as many items as you want, but please restrain yourself. Make sure that you can still completely close the lid.
The height of the ottoman makes it a nice footrest. It makes a handy seat as well. It’s not the most comfortable but it does its work. We find it useful when we have guests around and an extra seat is needed.
The ottoman is a piece you would want to show off to guests. It’s best to put it in your living room or entryway where guests could see it. Anyway, you can put it in your bedroom too. We are looking to buy another one for our room. We plan to put it by the foot of our bed. The ottoman’s width is just right for a queen- or king-sized bed.
The lid stays open on its own. This is very convenient when you’re taking items in and out of the ottoman. It also has safety hinges. This is a must since I have a three-year-old son. The hinges keep the lid from slamming shut.
Durable Piece
This ottoman’s durability has lived up to my expectations. For the price, this is probably the closest you can get to a high-quality ottoman. It doesn’t wobble even when an adult would sit on it. There is no bowing on the bottom of the ottoman, which is proof that it handles weight pretty well. It’s held its shape too. Do not allow your kids to jump on the ottoman if you like it to last.
The ottoman is covered with PU leather, which doesn’t peel as much like genuine leather. Scratches don’t appear as clearly as they do in genuine leather too. PU leather doesn’t wear as easily so it can stay pretty in the long run.
We’ve had this for 6 months now. Based on its look and quality, it is worth every penny. I would highly recommend this if you’re looking for an elegant yet inexpensive ottoman.
