I and my husband love having BBQ nights with our friends and relatives. This server and prep station in one came in perfect. A friend of ours recommended it to us after seeing how often we entertain guests in our yard. If you’re looking for an outdoor server, this is it!
Assembly
We had no problem fitting the pieces together. The plastic pieces clicked into place. It took an hour of assembly, which I think is a decent amount of time for an item with a lot of compartments. My only complaint would be the lack of words in the instructions. There were mostly pictures, which I think some people will find hard to understand.
Space
The size of the server is exactly what we wanted. We no longer have to carry everything we need for grilling from the kitchen to the yard. We just load the server with the plates, silverware, and ingredients needed for the BBQ. It’s a bit lightweight, so it’s easy to wheel in from one place to another. Even if you load it up with utensils and other items, you won’t have a hard time. The casters run smoothly on the floor.
The compartment underneath has ample of room. It’s fantastic that you can even lock it. You need to get your own padlock though.
The additional counter space on top is one thing I didn’t know I needed all along. It actually helps a lot as you cook or grill outside. I usually do all the prep work in our kitchen and just do the actually cooking or grilling in the yard. That changed when we got this server. I still do some of the chopping in the kitchen. However, I prefer doing most of the work outside while chatting with guests. And yes, the top really is stainless steel. That makes it a breeze to wipe clean after a night of grilling.
The hooks on the side are pretty useful too. We use ours to hang our tong, fork, and other grilling utensils.
The additional features here and there are a nice touch. I love how we can neatly place different sauces on the spice rack. The server even comes with its own bottle opener.
Quality
The server is mostly made of heavy-duty plastic. That makes it weather-resistant. It truly is a big bonus because we have no intention of keeping this outside. We want to keep the server in our garage when it’s not in use. We do end up forgetting though especially if we had a few drinks too many. The good thing is that we can leave it in the rain without worrying about rust or wear.
My Two Cents
This outdoor server will surely change the way you entertain guests and grill at home. Trust me, once you have this, you’ll never want to be without it again. It is functional and made for outdoor use. It’s easy on the eyes too. This is by far one of the best purchases I’ve made for my home!
