DHP Emily Sofa Bed Review
In term of assembly, this sofa bed from DHP is very easy to put together. All we had to do was just screwing the legs on with the screws that are already attached to the parts. The whole thing took us roughly 20 minutes to put together from start to finish. There really was nothing too complicated. Something buyers probably need to keep in mind is that the package does not come with manuals. But honestly speaking, the assembly was so simple that we think everyone can do it without any direction. Just in case if you really need one, DHP’s website still provides directions for all of their products. You just have to key in your product code.
For the build quality, the futon and chaise do look very sturdy. The fabric texture is way better quality than what it looks like on the website. Another thing that surprised us is its colour. We chose the grey one on the website, but the real product actually has a slightly darker and subtle blue tint to it. If you don’t mind the colour inaccuracy, it actually gives the sofa bed a much better premium look.
In terms of the actual usage, we would highly recommend buying the futon with the chaise. I’m 5’9″ and I’m not able to lie on it without my feet hanging over the end. However, when we put the chaise on, i’m able to stretch out as I would on a normal queen size bed.
Overall, with it’s outstanding quality, elegant look and affordable price, it will indeed make a great guest sofa bed for two. We are very happy with our purchase.
